Dr. Latoussakis is Board Certified in Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.

He evaluates and manages psychiatric problems in adults and elderly patients with a focus on depression, anxiety, psychosis (irrational thinking), memory impairment. He has expertise in the management of psychiatric disorders complicated by medically complex and neurological issues.

Currently, he directs an inpatient unit for geriatric and general adult patients and has more than 20 years of experience in treating psychiatric patients.

Dr. Latoussakis is a graduate of the Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry at Weill Cornell where he was a clinical as well as a research fellow. He went on to complete a fellowship in Psychosomatic medicine (Albert Einstein/Beth Israel Medical Center) and Public Psychiatry (Columbia University).

Previously an assistant professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical Center, he also served as the director of the TMS program at Cornell-Westchester.

He participated in various research studies funded by the NIMH and published on geriatric depression, severe (psychotic) depression and ECT, TMS.
